We had a fantastic stay at this ryokan. The onsen facilities were amazing, with a variety of indoor and outdoor baths, including private options for those seeking more privacy. The hotel also provided beautiful views of the countryside, especially from the covered wooden bridge and by the river. The breakfast served at the hotel was delicious, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Additionally, the hotel offered free shuttle service to the bus stop and allowed us to relax in our room past the check-out time.

This hotel exceeded my expectations in so many ways! the attention to detail was impeccable - from the beautiful wooden bridge that connected the hotel to the shops outside, to the carefully curated countryyard view that greeted me every morning. Secondly, the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, ensuring that my stay was nothing short of amazing. Lastly, the rooms offered exclusive services that made me feel like royalty, especially the breakfast served with a picturesque river view. It's rare to find such value for money and a location that ticks all the boxes.

All was perfect, I couldn't ask for more.

I had a fantastic stay at this ryokan! The setting was absolutely stunning, with the hotel located by a beautiful river and surrounded by nature. The Japanese-style room I stayed in was spacious, bright, and offered a lovely view of the river. The cleanliness of the room and the entire hotel was impeccable. The hotel facilities were top-notch, especially the diverse range of hot spring pools available. I particularly enjoyed the privacy and flexibility provided by the separate building for meals, as well as the option of private onsens. The breakfast served was delicious and plentiful, and the staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and accommodating.

    Nothing, all good.

Additionally, the hotel's location by the river adds to its charm, creating a peaceful atmosphere for relaxation. Moreover, guests can easily access the nearby shops for a convenient shopping experience.

The stunning setting with the river view and peaceful ambiance created the perfect atmosphere for relaxation. We particularly enjoyed the private hot spring baths, which offered both privacy and a variety of experiences. The onsen with a mountain view was a highlight. Additionally, the dinner, made with fresh ingredients, was superb. The staff was friendly and attentive, providing pick-up service and ensuring our needs were met. It was a truly memorable experience.

One aspect to note is that the air conditioner blew cold air onto the futon, which required adjusting the settings and moving the bed to maintain comfort. However, this may be a lesser issue in the winter when warmth is desired instead.

Additionally, the location of the hotel by a bridge with a stunning countryyard view added to the overall appeal.

Small town with lots to do, like visiting the crater and Takachiho gorge. Beautiful driving around the area. Six private baths available at the hotel, some overlooking the river. Good amenities, including an ice machine. Would definitely stay again.

The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable. Additionally, the location of the hotel on a covered wooden bridge made it easy to access shops outside, adding convenience to our stay.

The outdoor onsen was definitely the highlight of our stay. The view was breathtaking, and it was the perfect way to relax and unwind. the food was exquisite and we were especially impressed with the traditional Japanese breakfast. The location was also perfect as it was tucked away in a peaceful and serene area.

The price tag was quite steep and we felt that it was not a suitable option for a romantic escape on a budget. we were disappointed to discover that there was no Wi-Fi in the room and the communication with the staff was difficult due to language barriers.
